Regardless of the schedule (morning or afternoon), we will start with our guided tour of the city of Cusco, visiting first the impressive Qoricancha (the largest Inca temple dedicated to the sun), where we will observe the most exquisite Inca architecture and valuable colonial paintings of the Cusco school.
After visiting Qoricancha, we will go to the outskirts of Cusco to visit the four tourist attractions that are part of the Archaeological Park of Sacsayhuamán: the ceremonial fortress of Sacsayhuamán, the amphitheater of Qenqo, the military fortress of Puca Pucara and the fountains of the temple of the water (Tambomachay).
During the guided tour of Sacsayhuamán, we will walk through impressive temples, sacred precincts, and platforms that were built with immense blocks of stone. And from its viewpoint, we will also observe in all its magnitude the imposing city of Cusco, as well as the most important mountains that protect it and the beautiful landscapes that surround Sacsayhuamán.
Additionally, in the vicinity of Sacsayhuamán, we will also visit a craft center to see the works of art created by the hands of the craftsman from Cusco: traditional fabrics (in alpaca and baby alpaca) and gold and silver jewelry (necklaces, bracelets, and earrings). And in case you want to take a beautiful reminder home, this will be the ideal place to buy it.
Finally, on the last leg of the tour, we will visit Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay.
After the guided tour, we will return to Cusco, and we will take you to the Plaza Regocijo (one block from the Plaza de Armas of Cusco), so that you may continue traveling on your own, to see other wonders of the majestic city of Cusco.
