Travel Itinerary
Day - Itinerary

Our ATV tour of Maras and Moray begins with a hotel pickup at 7:00 AM. We will head north of the city, passing through breathtaking landscapes that showcase the region’s natural beauty. Along the way, we’ll see the snow-capped peaks of La Veronica and Chicon, set against the magical landscapes typical of the Andes.
Upon arriving at our base of operations in the Cruz Pata area, you will be assigned an ATV. Our guide will give instructions on how to use it, and after a brief practice session, we’ll begin a 40-minute ride to the experimental terraces of Moray. These terraces, designed by the Incas in the shape of a sunken amphitheater, are believed to have been used to create microclimates that supported the growth of various crops and plants.
We will spend about 20 minutes exploring this site before continuing to the Mirador de los 5 Nevados, where we will enjoy impressive views and ride through green fields. After a 40-minute return trip to our base, we will leave the ATVs and board our vehicle. For safety reasons, the rest of the route to the salt mines cannot be done on ATVs due to the steep slopes and sharp curves along the way.
We will arrive at the salt mines of Maras, which served the Incas by supplying salt to Cusco and surrounding towns. We’ll explore the salt terraces, fed by a stream of saltwater. The salt from these mines is recommended for people with hypertension, skin conditions, or swelling, so don’t forget to purchase some during our visit.
Finally, we will return to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel at approximately 2:00 PM.
