DAY 1

CUSCO - AGUAS CALIENTES

Early in the morning we will stop by your hotel to pick you up and go to the train station which will take us to KM 104 of the railway line that connects the city of Cusco with Machupicchu.

This will be our starting point to begin our great adventure along the ancient Inca trail. After a short period of walking we will find the first archaeological site called Chachabamba located at 2150 meters above sea level, later we will walk ascending the mountain for an average of 4 hours until we reach Wiñaywayna located at 2700 meters above sea level, Wiñaywayna is an important group archaeological consisting of an agricultural sector with countless terraces that were used for Inca agriculture, it also has a religious sector and an urban sector.

Continuing with our walk, we will be able to appreciate wonderful landscapes of the Urubamba Valley. During the tour we will have a short break where we will have our lunch for the day. We will continue our journey ascending until we reach the site called Inti Punku, a Quechua word that means door of the sun, from where we can see the great Inca city of Machupicchu.

After this wonderful experience we will head by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes.

DAY 2

AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO

After our breakfast at the hotel, we will go by bus to the Inca city of Machupicchu to take our guided tour.

The guided tour of Machupicchu lasts approximately 2 hours, then we will go down by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes, later we will have free time to explore the city on our own.

In Machupicchu we can visit all the sectors that this city has, such as the agricultural sector, full of platforms and granaries from the Inca era, we will also visit the religious sector and its different temples dedicated to its most important deities, and the urban sector, with its countless Inca enclosures.

After an extensive tour of the city of Machupicchu, we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes where we will have our respective lunch, and in the afternoon we will board the train back to the city of Cusco.
