Description

Circuit of the 7 Lake of Ausangate, an unforgettable journey through breathtaking Andean landscapes. We begin our adventure picking up passengers at 4:30 AM from various hotels or hostels. From Cusco, we head towards the community of Tinke, located at 3,780 meters (12,401 ft), a journey of approximately three hours. From there, we take a scenic detour to the village of Pacchanta, sitting at 4,310 meters (14,140 ft), where we will enjoy a hearty breakfast before starting our hike through the seven stunning lagoons of the region.

The Circuit of the 7 Lake of Ausangate covers approximately 6.5 km (4.3 miles) and offers an unparalleled opportunity to explore the pristine beauty of the Peruvian Andes. As we hike for about five hours, we will visit the mesmerizing lagoons of Azulqocha, Otorongo, Alqacocha, Q’omercocha, and Patacocha, all situated around 4,740 meters (15,551 ft) above sea level. Throughout the journey, you will also witness the majestic Ausangate Mountain, the highest peak in Cusco, towering at 6,380 meters (20,932 ft).

In addition to the breathtaking landscapes, the Circuit of the 7 Lake of Ausangate allows you to encounter native Andean wildlife, including alpacas, llamas, vizcachas, and, if lucky, the magnificent Andean Condor soaring above. After completing the circuit, we return to Pacchanta, where you can relax in the natural hot springs (optional) and enjoy a well-deserved traditional lunch.

Finally, we will return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 7:30 PM. This trek is a perfect combination of adventure, nature, and cultural immersion, making it an unmissable experience for all travelers seeking the best of the Peruvian Andes!
